Licenciou-se em Engenharia Civil, opção de Estruturas, em 2000, pela Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto (FEUP). Entre setembro 2004 e julho de 2005, frequentou e concluiu a parte escolar do mestrado em Estruturas, Geotecnia e Fundações pela Universidade do Minho.
Com 20 anos de experiência na elaboração, coordenação e revisão de Projetos, a sua carreira como Projetista de Estruturas teve início em 2000, na “AFAssociados - Projetos de Engenharia” (atual “Afaconsult”), tendo dedicado grande parte da sua atividade à execução de projetos de Edifícios Públicos e Institucionais, até 2003.
Inicia então uma etapa complementar ao integrar o quadro da empresa Metro do Porto, na Secção de Pontes, entre 2003 e 2006, desempenhando funções de Gestão, Coordenação e Revisão de Projetos de Obras de Arte.
Adquiriu experiência significativa na coordenação de projetos multidisciplinares, na revisão estrutural de projetos, na execução, acompanhamento e controle de custos de obras de grande complexidade e dimensão. Em novembro de 2006 torna-se sócio fundador e passa a ser Gerente e Diretor de Projeto da empresa “KN Engenharia Lda.”, onde presta serviços de consultoria na área da Engenharia de Estruturas: elaboração, revisão, coordenação e direção de projetos de todo o tipo de edifícios e obras de engenharia civil, consultas e pareceres especializados.
Em Portugal é membro da Ordem dos Engenheiros desde Novembro de 2002, com o número 40772, tendo-lhe sido atribuída a categoria de membro sénior em Novembro de 2010. Também é membro do Conselho Federal de Engenharia e Agronomia, no Brasil, com o registro nacional nº 201286968-8.
