BIM is an acronym that stands for “Building Information Modeling”.

It is usually materialized in a unique, centralized three-dimensional digital model that contains all the information necessary to define the project.
From this model, architects and engineers can easily obtain continuous feedback on project information and ensure effective coordination between them. Because it is a parametric model, it is easier to create and analyse several alternative scenarios to ensure an optimum solution.
The design platforms developed over BIM represent a revolution when compared to the more conventional CAD systems, both by the drastic reduction of the risk of errors of design and the high levels of productivity achieved.
